Tankless Technology: A Paradigm Shift

Anthony first heard about Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters from a friend who switched the traditional electric tank heaters in his home to tankless. He told Anthony he would never go back to a traditional water heater due to the ease of installation, endless hot water and minimal space required by the Rinnai tankless product.

This endorsement got Anthony thinking about all the electric tank water heaters installed in his camp buildings at Lake Placid so he contacted his propane distributor Jerry Melendy of Coker Fuel in Sebring, Florida to confirm that he carried the Rinnai brand. Jerry scheduled an appointment with Anthony to review the product options, cost and savings that could be realized by converting from electric tanks to Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters. After the initial meeting, Anthony ordered four Rinnai Tankless for each of the ministry team homes to confirm they would perform at the required level.

Rinnai Tankless water heaters have been much cheaper to operate than traditional electric water heaters. Based on my studies we are seeing enough savings to make up any difference in price within the first year.

Quick Return On Investment

Within a month of installation, Anthony was very impressed that the water flow was not compromised and that the units outlasted demand without fail. He also felt a sense of relief in removing the aging tanks as they posed a potential hazardous leak situation if they were to fail without warning.

Due to the positive results of this initial installation, as the camp’s traditional water heaters have stopped working they have been replaced with Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters. To date, Lake Placid has purchased 10 Rinnai Tankless Water Heaters and will continue purchasing them to replace the traditional tank heaters as needed. Anthony is already seeing a payback with reduced energy consumption and maintenance as well as never having guests inconvenienced by running out of hot water.
